Doesn't he know we don't need permission? We can use it anyway but it will be without backing or agreed lending structure etc.

I like this. Being reliant on the Bank of England and the vagaries of their tax rates in an in dependant Scotland made no sense to me.

 

I don't understand finance fully enough really. But it seems silly for Scotland to be beholden to what would essentially be the interest & lending rates of a foreign nation.

The taxi driver I got to work this morning claimed that an independent Scotland would have the same problems as Northern Ireland within 5 years.
