Goalkeeper James Shea has returned to parent club Arsenal, so Tommy Forecast will continue to deputise in the absence of Bartosz Bialkowski. - Steven Gillespie could return to the Colchester starting line-up after getting a late run out against Bristol Rovers following an injury lay off. Defenders Brian Wilson and Magnus Okuonghae are both unlikely to feature, with the latter set to have an operation on his ankle which will rule him out for the rest of the season. Midfielder John-Joe O'Toole also returned in the midweek game after 10 months out with a cruciate injury, and may have a larger role to play this weekend. Away allocation: 1,696 tickets , no news as to sell-out yet. Prediction: 1-1 draw. COYS
Hmmm after going to the game on Tuesday ...sorry in advance lads but IMO this game has got a draw written all over it! Dont get me wrong I would love to be wrong - and for us to win: but cant see it!
Sorry also wanted to say Saint Lambden : Great effort with this weekends Fixture Thread ... Very informative! Well Done mate! Hope you get a large response!
Thanks mate , not as good as yours as it was only shoved together in 5 minutes. This game really is win or bust now , the players MUST play to their potential and win. MUST.
....................Davis...................... Richardson...Fonte...Martin...Harding ..........Hammond...Chaplow............ ...................Lallana..................... Chamberlain....................N'guessan ..................Lambert.................... Bench: Forecast, Jaidi, Butterfield, Gobern, Barnard Colchester are always tough to play against and on their patch, we shouldn't take anything for granted. Without Schneiderlin, we really need a creative influence in the middle and imo Lallana is the most plausible option to provide that. I'd use Richardson instead of Butterfield as he's more likely to attack down the outside and let Chamberlain get closer to Lambert on occasions Jaidi will be knackered after 3 game in a row. If none of Seaborne, Dickson, Guly or Forte are fit, stick a couple of kids on the bench.
Well there's one on top of the Lavatory will that do Mind you that may have already happened ...he looked a bit flushed .........Darn it thats gone right down the pan
This game will be a nervous affair if we don't score early. Hopefully we can start on fire, score, and then relax and run the show. We need a Lambert special, but one that comes of their post, and hits the keeper, bounces out to a defender, and then bobbles along the line before Barnard is brought down as he tries to toe poke it in to give us a penalty, which Rickie lashes home will do. At this stage of the season a win is a win.
Just decided, I'm off to my first away game this season!!!!!!! (well went to Sutton united pre-season) May have been very angry after Tuesday, but tomorrows another game and another VICTORY!!!!!!!!!! COYRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!!!!
Our record against Colchester recently has been awful so I'm not pinning too much hope on a win here. Would accept a point as it is a very tough game but we really need a win if we are going to push on for automatic promotion. We beat one bogey side last week though so here's hoping we can beat another. COYR
