Reports coming out of Italy that Rafa has approached Santon's people about a possible Summer return.

Thoughts?

 

I thought he was a pretty limited player when he was here tbh. The defending side wasn't great (worse than Dummett) and although he ran with the ball in the opposition half he rarely got in behind or produced anything. Unless he has come on a lot while being at Inter then I'd look for better elsewhere, if we are even looking for a left back.

Oh, but I forgot, he's a right winger isn't he? Pardew just played him out of position.

His agent seems an ok sort of bloke, in fact I wouldn't mind betting that sneaky old Charnley could get one over him.

 

I suggest an insurance bet that Charnley wakes up with a horses head in his bed. Albert can get you the best odds.

 

With Charnley's recent goings on it'll probably be Shergar.

 

I'd take Davide back with open arms, good cover at both full back positions and with Anita leaving and Gamez probably off as well we need some more cover back there.

Knows the club and area so wouldn't have to settle in to things.

 

His Geordie gf will probably be delighted to come back from Milan as well.

 

Still think he's a right back. This obsession with calling him a left back is stupid in my opinion. He can do a job on the other side. He did pick up quite a few injuries. Provided that is not a problem then I'd welcome him back. Better than Anita. Ideally suited our new 343 formation we shall be adopting next season. Him and Yedlin fighting for one role.

Yeah I think this would be the problem. He was a crock when we bought him though, and still managed to play a fair bit.

That said it was an ongoing knee issue he had, which has probably only got worse. He won't pass a medical. But then neither did Demba Ba.

Shall we just say **** it and pick up demba, cabaye, pay cisse millions and use that clause we've got on Collocini's whole life to force him back

 

All we need to do is get Sissoko back for say £5M and then sell him to say Liverpool for £65M.
