    I think we are a couple of quality players away from having a top team. We have money from Fonte & Jay Rod plus I would sell Tadic and go and pay for Sigurdsson. Much better than buying 3 or 4 maybe players for £15-£16 million. Then get in a top CDM to play with Romeu and that would really improve us. If that meant selling a couple of fringe players like Clasie etc to raise funds, I'd be happy with that.

    Ryan Seager has signed a new 2-year contract and gone on loan to MK Dons for the season :)

    If not for his big injury a few years back, he'd be in our 1st team now, in my opinion.

    Gabbiadini and Iheanacho could easily play together, too. Gabbiadini's got plenty of experience doing the wide forward thing, and having the two of them lurking while someone drives into the box would be an unholy amount of fun.

    Depending on outgoings, we may not even spend £40m in total. Obviously more pressure to spend that if Virgil leaves as we'd need to buy a £15-£20m CB.

    Gardos is terrible, But bring in another CB should Virgil leave, I'd be more than happy. We are never going to be a Man U, Or Chelsea... We are never going to get or keep those Calibre of players.

    That sounds like fun, yes. Three viable CB's, one aged 23, one aged 21, and one with a year until his contract expires at the end of the season. What could possibly go wrong?

    I think we need another quality CB anyway. If we don't bring someone in we rely heavily on VVD not being a cock for the the rest of the year - especially around January. Yoshi and Stephens did great last year but they will not be able to hold down first choice pairing for the whole season IMO. At some point the wheels will come off the pressure will be too much and they will have a bad run. Another quality CB would allow us to rotate and possibly push Stephens up to CDM where needed too.

    So no one is suspicious that we have brought in Beddi....one for the future, my ****. He was insurance against what has happened. He has a hard act to follow, but at least he wants to play for Southampton (at least this season).*
