Virgil apparently told friends that he may be out for the season....I wouldn't be surprised as it is February and he is reportedly out for months. Hasn't taken long for the media to turn this into him saying that he won't play for Saints again.
There is a report in the Times today which says Mane was off to Spurs but in the end they wouldn't match his pay demands.
http://www.gotthebattlefeveron.com/...hampton-supremo-for-director-of-football-role Rangers said to be after our head of scouting, Ross Wilson. Could be seen as a promotion and he is a Scot.
Hmm... From the English Premier League to the Scottish Premier League. Funnily enough, he couldn't wait to leave Scotland when he went to Watford. Isn't he a little young yet to be making nostalgic returns.?
Also, he works at a club that really highlights and propels his position. Moving to Rangers just seems so strange.
That's why I said could be see as a promotion. It's a promotion in position, but not in the league. However, entirely possible that a more senior position could tempt him as a step forward in his career.
More importantly is there a significant pay raises? If so, I am sure he will be off on the next available flight to Glasgow
Agree Fran. People change jobs for a variety of reasons and in his case, not being a player or a coach, it is closer to a 'normal' job. He may look at the pathway for him and think that Les isn't going anywhere soon or even that he has concerns for further career blocks should we be sold in the next few months or years. He may not agree with everything that Les or the club do. There could be countless reasons.
I think it went a little like this: "Ho risolto in meglio di quanto avrei mai pensato che potevo. Questo è a causa del sostegno dei miei compagni, il personale e gli appassionati. Spero di poter continuare a migliorare."
http://www.hitc.com/en-gb/2017/02/1...n-twitter-to-manolo-gabbiadinis-3-in-2-south/ Everton fans feeling they missed out on Gabbiadini. I know we shouldn't crow too soon....after all it is only two games*....but you have to get your crowing in while you can. *Though note he has scored 6 goals in his last 5 games.
http://www.liverpoolecho.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/wanted-van-dijk-liverpool-says-12595467 OK...I'm filling in time, so am on the hunt. Rodgers said that he tried to buy VVD when at Liverpool but kept being knocked back by the scouts. He obviously feels that they missed out, but would Virgil be the same player if he hadn't been at Celtic and Southampton. A moot point.
