And he lives. #sarcasmmode Time for the team to have a clear the air talk, put it behind them, and play in the way the fans deserve....well, not the booing fans....they just need a good slap.
While I don't believe for a minute it's true, some strange things have been happening recently. Kreuger being present in the dressing room for an away game, and Les Reed the same a few games ago, is odd. This story could have been fabricated using those incidents, or the incidents could be because the story is true. Would certainly make Puel's position almost untenable, and I'm in the 'give Puel more time' camp. IF true, the players need to look at themselves as well. Puel deserves respect on a human level, as does everyone, let alone on a managerial level for being their superior. They haven't exactly been setting the world alight and can shoulder some of the blame. I would hope our senior players are far more professional than this. I do however, believe it's probably bullshit, and would certainly like it to be.
http://www.dailyecho.co.uk/yoursay/..._blaming_results_on_lack_of_rest_for_players/ Oh Barrie, get to grips with modern football. The intensity they play at now is completely different to 50 odd years ago. Sports Science also wasn't around then either. People like that really frustrate me, just living in the past.
And remember that players used to play injured and often it finished their careers early. These players are worth millions, play at a high intensity and they can last into their thirties now with modern fitness and care. And the other problem with playing so many games is that there is no time for real training as they are usually in recovery from the previous match. If it happened once perhaps, but Saints have been playing a couple of games a week virtually since the beginning of the season. The man is a dinosaur.
Watching old school football is sometimes good for a laugh. I watched some highlights from some Saints game from around 2001, which wasn't even that long ago. Every goal would be a total embarrassment if it was scored today. It's basically a different sport now.
Sunday papers reporting that Guardiola has admitted he is finding the Premier league a challenge. Claude is having to ride a perfect storm of 3 top players sold,3 others out injured, team captain causing problems, first time in the main Euro League groups, he is new to League. Anything else Ive forgotten, fire, tempest, floods. Give the guy a break. We are struggling, not sinking down the league.
Yep I reckon we'll all look back in fifteen years time and say how great all the goals were back then don't you?
