100%, McQueen has been brilliant to be honest. Beats his man, comfortable on the ball and has been defending well. Targett edges it defensively, but in our system i value the cutting edge of McQueen.

Won't happen unless we get another striker in......

Pulis wants to sign Southampton forward Jay Rodriguez, 27, in January. (Daily Telegraph)

But Rodriguez is Hull City's number one target in January. (Hull Daily Mail)

Anyone else like me think he's currently ahead of Bertrand?

Happen to disagree on current form. Bertrand has had injuries, he's rusty when he returns and has definitely been culpable in goals against when he has played and hasn't offered much energy going forward compared to what we know he's capable of. All I'm saying is if McQueen was selected tomorrow I'd be happy.

Agree FoK, on current form the lad looks very good and pushing Bertrand very hard. Certainly above poor Matt Target as it stands. If we "have" to loose one of these then MT would sadly be my choice. I believe its the reason why he hasn't signed a new improved and extended contract as he sees his standing as no.3 in the pecking order. Personally I see him as 1 or 2. With RB being so injury prone (every international break) there should be plenty of opportunities especially with Mr Tinkerman in charge

Current form is what... one game? What goals have you put down to Bertrand? His last game was Liverpool - he defended well and it was pretty damn hard for any player let alone a full back to show much energy going forward.

I want us to either start giving Stephens a chance there or let Valery have a few games. Martina should have been allowed to leave.

Few papers saying this morning that we are after Berahino for £12m. I ****ing hope not. He had one good spell and they should have cashed in on him then. His poor performances of late aren't because his head isn't in the right place, he just isn't that good. Got over hyped because he is English.

No not one game. I don't think he's played particularly well all season - by his own standards. Can't remember specifics in terms of goals but we sit right in line with left back position and recall thinking on several occasions that he has been at fault. No need for you to get so uppity (as per). I like Bertrand. Just think he's not on top of his game right now and McQueen is coming through nicely.

Stephens looked completely lost at right back against Sunderland in the cup so would keep him for CB duties only. So why not give Valery a chance as he is a proper right back

Agree...would cause dressing room issues with his apparent "attitude" and hasn't been that prolific when given the chance

If the transfer came off, it could turn out to be a good signing in due course. But yes, looking at it at face value right now, it's not a transfer which I'd be interested in. Far too many questions marks and negatives. Not to mention the fact that I highly doubt that we'd be signing two strikers - by which I mean that if we're only signing the one, and we may not even do that, then I hardly think that Berahino being that one will solve our problems.

I wasn't at the Sunderland game, but I have been told a similar thing by multiple people who were there that. Way out of his depth at RB.

Tbh, whether at CB or RB, I'm not quite sure why he's still here (and I'm certainly not surprised that he hasn't yet broken through). I'm not saying that I watched a lot of Swindon games, but the few I did see, him and Turnball looked very poor. And I said so on here at the time. I was embarrassed to say that they were on loan from us.

I know zip all about Valery though.

Stephens actually played well at Swindon at cb and dm and is still highly regarded here. Agree on Turnbull.

The Sun are saying Hull will bid 11m for Rodriguez.
