    SAKHO LOAN BID REJECTED

    Sky sources understand Liverpool have rejected Southampton's loan offer for Mamadou Sakho.

    Liverpool want to sell the player in this transfer window and are looking for at least £20m.

    That's good then, because I've heard of him, which immediately makes him an unsuitable Saints transfer. Plus if Liverpool don't want him, then I certainly don't - it's like eating chips off the street that a tramp has left because he didn't fancy them.

    Pointless signing players anyway it seems. We signed a 9 year old kid from Bristol in the summer I think, and I haven't seen him even remotely getting near the first team squad.

    To be fair, if Liverpool want 20mil for Sakho we should stick well clear.

    How can they justify 20mil for a centre back that they don't rate, that has been rotting in the reserves? Madness.

    Loan to buy is the correct way for us to progress on this. Liverpool don't want that, then walk away.

    Agreed. AT £20m he would be our most expensive signing and from what I have seen of him, Yoshie would be ahead of him. Walk away Les, walk away!

    I think it's the usual thing fans do when their team isn't doing so well and that's find a scapegoat.
    There may be more to it but at the moment it seems like he's the easy target during our recent poor form.

    I believe on top of the 'players unrest' beliefs his perceived track record of being a coach at clubs that have become rather unsuccessful in general has caused some concern for some Southampton supporters, although according to Wikipedia Coventry City fans were upset when he was sacked due the team playing attractive football.
