It sounds like you've never eaten Chinese food, but only the crap served up in the majority of Western Chinese restaurants and take aways. Real Chinese food is incredible and nothing liked you described.

whatever you do - don't slag off Asian spices - not a mince pie or Christmas pudding would exist without them!

You're probably right, but a lot of people rave about that sort too. I've always hated it.

I have previously spoutted my disliking of many aspects of Chinese culture. But, the food is definitely not one of them.

Chinese food in England is utter garbage, but in China it's sensational. But you do have to get used to the oil and grease.

Or you could just come round my house - it's closer & serves real Indian food.
Although Sanja's in Southampton is probably the best Indian place in Southampton and the only one that does proper Punjabi food. You specifically have to ask for less\low oil though to get it done well, though. For some reason, the English pallet must prefer greasy\oily food, because there's no reason they (nor all the other other Indian places) need to make dishes so oily but all of them feel the need to.

Curry Leaf Café and also the Chili Pickle in Brighton are both 'proper' Indian restaurants instead of English-Indian fare.

QUOTE: (Echo site) : Our board is giving us the bum's rush, yet my antagonists here refuse to see the wood for the trees...I support the team not those who would trade immediate profit for success, when that owner has more money than god then i am really p%ç*%d off.

Is this an accurate view of what is happening with our Owner and the Board? Is there any actual evidence to back this opinion?

All we know at the moment is there have been discussions between our owners and Lander Sports over the sale/partial sale of the football club.
We don't even know if they are ongoing or have concluded.
Anything else is a guessing game!

True. We've even fought small wars (usually with the Dutch) in Indonesia over spices like nutmeg. Our long term relationship with India started with pepper.

Don't forget tea (East India Tea Company). Without tea, rum and opium we wouldn't be the country we are today.
