I was impressed with Slattery from the parts I saw tonight. Very good range of passing on display. Obviously I hope we do sign an attacking midfielder before the window shuts, but wouldn't be surprised to see this lad get on the bench for the Wolves game
Afolabi was sitting behind me at the Swans game. Clearly didn't take on the 1st team habits in front of goal though.
Expect this got published on here at the time, but stumbled across this today http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/fo...t-Scout-Southampton-new-star-Alfie-Jones.html Scout report on Alfie Jones
Good to see Harry Reed doing so well at Norwich, scored a screamer and was given 9/10 on a Norwich fans website. Keep it up young fella
Always thought the lad would make it into the first team. Seemed useful not sure why Keenan couldn't see that.
So we have three young Nigerian strikers (19, 18 and 17 I think) all scoring . One at Yeovil and the others in each of the youth teams. Might we actually have some attackers come through the academy set up for the first time in a while?
Are they Nigerian born or British born, with Nigerian parentage? I've heard Olomola speak and sounds like a London lad. Despite three goals today... Saints Players on Loan 4 Saints first team squad 3 Seager yet to get off the mark, but helped MK to a 1-0 win.
I think two of our 'Nigerian' lads are actually Irish. EDIT: Indeed I'm right. Michael Obafemi and Jonathan Afolabi are both Irish.
