Congrats guys Should be pretty epic when it's built. Went down to the Plymouth game with my other half's dad and that O'toole looks like a hell of a signing. Hope you stay up and that we do aswell for that matter
As long as the Home Secretary doesn't object in the next three weeks we're good to go. It's highly unlikely the HS will comment so we're 99% home and dry.
o'toole is a hell of a signing. we been in trouble all last season and this season in midfield and been so poor in that area, not helping the defence or attacks and just letting teams boss us about. but since o'toole joined us, we been great in midfield and as a result we have picked up some good form getting 7 points from last possible 12 available. worry for me is he is only on a 1 month loan to gain match fitness due to injury. colchester is his parent club and they are in a relegation battle and i just cant see him being allowed to stay with us for the rest of the season so end of this month, we be stuck again in midfield. i be over the moon if we can keep him though. i think that keeping him on is more important than getting a striker in.
Really, really pleased for Rovers & all the fans. Now let's hope relegation can be avoided and start a push up the table Enjoy the moment Gasheads - these don't come around very often
Congratulations to Bristol Rovers & all gasheads, a great day for you lot, been a long time coming...maybe in some strange way, this could open up the way for my club to get ours, although will be a sad day for me to say goodbye to the wonderful Ashton Gate, after well over fifty years going there. Rovers left their true home of Eastville many years ago now and have not had a true home since, so this surely will be the beginning of them rising up the League ladder. COYR's.
hope so bigjohn so many examples where those who get new stadiums go up the leagues - reading, stoke, swansea etc etc. but there are examples where things go tits up like darlington. form has to pick up on the pitch. 7 points from last 12 is quite good. issue is teams around us have picked up good form too
Again, to echo cjs, thanks to those Reds who have posted congratulations..it can't have been easy! A point unmentioned on your board is the catastrophic reign of Colin Sexstone. I can see some of you turning on SL, but Sexstone's short term with you seems to have coincided with lots of things going wrong; his handling of your Ashton Vale scenario being a major one.
I do believe that October's new inquiry will have a positive outcome for City - there's a new attitude to development in Bristol at long last!
the planning meeting made it sound like it was 21 days from then. but its 21 days from when it was received by the secretary of the state which the 21 days should have been on 15th feb. however on 13th feb our chairman said this following statement.... so should find out by next tuesday
i had an email from sainsburys today saying they have tested 250 products and have not found a bridle let alone a horse in their products. so all good news for muller road, a non tainted supermarket.
Taken from OS..... http://www.bristolrovers.co.uk/news/article/march-deadline-677739.aspx Thats it, no other info to explain why. Not looking good me thinks.
No, it's going to be fine. Just the usual Government incompetence and bureaucratic delay. There is absolutely no reason from a central government viewpoint why this decision should be called in.
