Hi everyone. Your probably expecting Ashley to be writing this, but sadly, he isn't. I'm not an internet person and the only reason i am on here is because it was his request. Ashley tried to take his own life on Saturday night, and in a letter he left his wife, he asked if we could tell the people on this site. I'm not sure if I'm meant to put it everywhere, but the Swansea forum was under his favourites, and as a Swansea fan i guess you would be the only ones he talked to. He is in a coma and the doctors are unsure ether he will come around as This isn't my thing to be writing on a forum but he asked, and as a friend i must oblige. Steve.
I'm stunned, hoping and praying for a full recovery. Ash is one of the good guys please pass on all out best wishes Steve and keep us updated
Wouldn't wish that on anyone. Really hope he comes through and can sort out any issues. Puts everything into perspective. Here's to a speedy recovery and a happy future.
very sad and shocking news - not many on here know each other personally Steve but through the chat its become a kind of community -really hope he pulls through, my thoughts go out to you, his friends and family, and like Dilligaf said please keep us informed of his progress.
I will pass on your wishes to his wife, that's for sure. We weren't at all shocked by his actions if I'm honest, and that is why he was found. He had health issues, and I'm not sure if you were aware but his wife lost their baby a few weeks back. He put a brave face on, as he always did, but he's had a truly awful upbringing and he's never really got over it. I will try and make sure you are all kept up to date, and should he pull through, i will ensure you know. Thankyou for the kind words, his wife will be most grateful.

What awful news .... so sad .... his wife must be devastated Please let her know she will be in the thought & prayers of many
Steve, he would have wanted the Cardiff fans to know as well so I just posted a message to them. Please tell his wife that were all behind him.
Thankyou dilligaf. I wouldn't know how to get of this forum, appreciate that. I'll be going to the hospital in the morning, I'll be sure to show her this page.
steve, let him know that all the cardiff fans on here wish him all the best. a while back i was having a few personal issues of my own and he was a gem, offered me advice over here that helped me alot at the time.
Steve, you will already have a sense about how we all feel about Ash here. This is devastating news for us and our thoughts are with him and his family. If there is anything I can do, anything at all, please PM me and, when it is possible, let Ash know that his mates on this site are all rooting for him.
Please do Steve, it's not just Swans fans here. Albert and Obi Wan are both Newcastle fans. Minxy is a Peterborough fan, perhaps from now on all non Swans fans will say what team they support. Dave and Swamp are both Cardiff fans. It will just show how well respected Ash is on here.
