i think its time we get some fresh blood

i fancy we get a corrupt billionaire with insane amounts of cash to launder in the UK
background being an investor from the middle east or china who knows how to exploit poor people but likes the idea of owning a football club

I think deep down, we all yearn for the days when we known as Shambolic Southampton. It was the best of times, it was the worst of times. Bring 'em back!

Supporting a football club, any football club, has always been **** most of the time. Forget the joyful faces of the shiny modern fans in the Champions League adverts, and especially forget that really annoying kid who gets picked to be a mascot and never stops ****ing smiling. That's not the fan's experience, never has been.

The real face of football? It's your keeper bending down to pick the ball out the back of his own net; it's your striker standing with his hands on his face unable to believe he missed a chance like that; and it's your captain standing alone in the centre circle after the final whistle, realising that yet another dream has been snatched away.

Whenever Saints have a bad day at the office and things feel like the end of the footballing world, I like to go and rewatch Steven Gerrard slipping against Chelsea and letting Ba free on goal to lost Liverpool the title. It helps put things in perspective :emoticon-0102-bigsm

I love supporting Southampton because there still is a Southampton! I have no idea what supporting a team where you weren't born there or don't live there even is?

There is a popular phrase " It's the hope that kills you " and alas it is now starting to really apply to me now about Saints.

I had hoped that Mr Reed would actually do something last summer about getting the team sorted by spending money rather than by
just selling to increase the owners Bank account.

I had hoped that the daughter of the Great Man would have replaced Mr C with another experienced football man rather than just let
    Mr R take over.

I had hoped that Mr K when he left would have been replaced by a better more experienced manager than was the case.

I had hoped that the Saints board would realise that they are way out of their depth and get others in before they sink Saints.

I had hoped that Saints would never again be relegated in the short lifetime I have left but I am starting to fear the worst.

That's probably better than working a night shift surrounded by angry drunk railway passengers, one of whom was just lying down on the platform rolling around in his own puke. So far tonight I've had two people wanting to fight me because their trains were delayed, one woman nearly throw up all over me, and a very drunk Irish girl given it hysterics because she thought she'd missed the last train to Hatfield.

I'm not having a good night.

    Okay you win <laugh>

I haven't got it anywhere near as bad to be fair, quite quiet too. I'm just only about 2 hours away from struggling to stay awake. Only 5 and a half to to go...

What time do you finish mate?

7.00am. It'll be quiet til 4.45 now though.

At least I had Thursday night off, though I'm sort of wishing I hadn't.
