Anyone have any update on how he's progressing? I assume he will be out for the season? Is it still seen as career threatening?
There hasn't been much, the last I heard which was about a month ago was that he was progressing well.
I've heard that sadly his career is over. He will be getting a payout and the club are able to retrieve the money they paid for him. Sad all around but from what I've heard this is sounding likely.
How do the club retrieve the money they paid for him? Insurance doesn't cover the full transfer fee paid.
Hugely sad if true. We were just starting to see the best from him. Who would have thought a few years back that we could attract a player of such pedigree.
Bit of a whoosh. Clearly a dig at the he said she said bullshit like we had last time he was discussed. The knobs on you.
Lets not get carried away. At one point the rumour everywhere was Ash was rumoured to not be coming back. The club doctors and specialists advised him to retire, Brown Phil even discussed it in a press conference and someone very well placed at the club even told me he'd never kick a ball again, but he did and he played on for a good few years. I know its a different injury...
No disrespect, but unless you know someone very very close to the player, I wouldn't believe what you've heard, this kind of info if leaked or passed on breaks all kinds of patient/doc confidentiality etc... and could get people into a lot of trouble, The fact you have posted it on here leads me to think its not from somebody close to him that you know personally as if you did you would respect them enough ( id hope ) not to post that info on here!
For what it is worth, Michael Dawson is on Five Live tonight, and it sounds as if tonight between Huddersfield V Bristol City a similar things has happened, the game was stopped for 15 minutes. Because of this he was ask about Ryan Mason, and he said he spoke to him a few days ago and he is recovering well.
I've just been watching the Bristol-Hudds match. It was a collision between 2 Hudds players and at first it seemed like nothing at all. The poor lad took ages to be treated and was finally stretchered off. No update yet. Hope he's ok. Sounds like positive news about Mason from Daws.
speaking of the bristol city v huds match bristols city former manager who managed them in our play off final , and the current managers dad who is in charge of cheltenam, had heart surgery performed by the dad of bristol city play bryan. mad
just think it's a rather remarkable story that bristol citys manger's dad had heart surgery performed by one of his own players dad
