At the end of the day, it's just a game that we are all (mostly?!) passionate about and horrific injuries like this bring everything into perspective. Get well soon Ryan
I came in f I'm work and watched 9mins of them recovering him to the hospital, I've now seen the incident, ffs he's just not home, hope he's ok, looks a bad one
The Club can confirm that Ryan Mason sustained a skull fracture in our fixture at Chelsea this afternoon. He was taken to St Mary’s Hospital where he has undergone surgery. Ryan is in a stable condition and is expected to remain in hospital for the next few days. Everyone at the Club would like to express their sincere thanks for the excellent and swift care given to Ryan by both the Accident and Emergency department and Neurosurgery Unit at St Mary’s Hospital. A further update will be issued tomorrow. http://www.hullcitytigers.com/news/...t-ryan-mason-3533371.aspx#0XKL332i1PioWPkM.99 On MOTD now.
I think they'll follow rugby soon and make sure clashes of heads results in both players having to leave the pitch in case of concussion. I'm not sure Cahill should have stayed on the pitch, even though he looked okay afterwards.
Yeah think you're right but the medical staff assessed him didn't they! Concussion is a strange thing without any fractures - remember a lad I was working with getting hit in the head with a cricket ball when working for the council - we thought nothing of it and he just got on with what he was doing - within an hour he was unconscious!! No way you can assess in such a short time period
