He also signed Klose and Oliveira, General. Someone at the club (AN?)is doing a good job of identifying players to bring in. Judging by futwiz - futhead, Zeegelaar looks to be a very good prospect. And he's considered to be a speed dribbler . I hope this one is for real.
Devil's advocate a bit here, squire, but 'someone at the club' also signed Pritchard (bit part player) and Canos (who?) at a combined cost of well over £10m - money spent like the confetti we don't possess. For every success story (Pinto, AloeVera) there's a complete cock-up just around the corner
One of the three wise men cometh yet again I'm sceptical, but after being dropped for circa two months in favour of Bassong, I wouldn't be overly surprised if there was a glimmer of truth in this! unknown @Norwich12435678 As for T.Klose if offer come... He go this is simple as this #ncfc
Yes,m'lord, but I think we signed them in large part based on their reputations eg, coming through Spurs and Barca academies, respectively. Both may still come good. And I'm not saying I'm a fan of AN; he's had his chance. But I do like it when we find "diamonds in the rough" so to speak.
We find rough in the rough. Any diamonds we find, we muddy and chuck away, thinking they are just rocks.
Oliveira was kept out for two reasons: 1) Jerome was playing well until he got hurt 2) AN takes too long to decide that players are match fit. As for Klose, I can't imagine any good reason for benching him for those games.
According to the rumour pages. both are on their way out of Norwich. (I realise gossip / conjecture is purely that, but could you really, really blame them if it were true?) They may well - and I fully expect them both to come good, but I don't think it will be in the famous yellow shirt.
Cromer, no I wouldn't blame either if they wanted to leave. The rumour also says £8m for Pritchard. I would take that in a heartbeat, but I don't believe it. AN said he and Canos "have an understanding." I'd really like to know what it is.
Of all of these rumours, Zeegelaar seems the most likely, IMO. He seems like a natural replacement for Olsson for a reasonable price, and from his point of view a good chance of starting straight away. Pritchard has major potential, but if a PL team offered £8m+ for him I think we might take it, given that we have Wes, Naismith and Maddison in the same position and it'd allow us to strengthen elsewhere, especially if the Brady move seems unlikely. We could do a lot with £18m to strengthen in other positions.
I've not seen Pritchard play live but in him and Maddison I think we have natural replacements for Wes and Naismith who might not have many seasons left in them at this level. If we're going to have a "dynasty" then we need to hold on to some of this talent.
Oh well, that's two (2) derisory offers our Jezza won't have to embarrass the club by making Pat Murphy @patmurphybbc Lansbury deal done for £2.75m. Will train with @AVFCOfficial this morning & may be in tomorrow's squad. Villa will bid £1m for Hourihane.
Don´t understand all the fuss. Just why would we want either Lansbury or Hourihane anyway, two MORE attacking midfielders, the position for which Neil has been accused of over-populating more than any other. I can imagine the ´praise ´ he would have got for bringing those two in. Far better, if we´re going to bring anyone in, to concentrate on the first line of defence, and preferably find someone who can regularly deal with crosses into the box, please. ...or actually, more preferable still, CUT OUT crosses into the box, in the first place.
No fuss, no drama, just keeping up to speed with the progress of two players we had been linked with earlier in this window
