I know a lot of fans would give AN a bit more slack if he were to give some of his 'dynasty' a chance. I know ILD goes to a lot of the 'youff' games and he agrees that they should be given their chance - look at Alli and as FML says, he would have gone to some League 1 side on loan and we'd never see him again.
What would I do today if I was in charge? a) After yesterdays debacle - sack AN and try and get Rowett. b) Sell Brady & another from the squad and use the money to balance the books for this year. c) Accept that we have no chance of promotion this year and buy nobody. d) Give Rowett the rest of the season to assess the squad and the youngsters in particular. e) Tell Rowett that he has this years budget on transfers/wages plus £5m and the proceeds of any sales to spend for next season with all decisions as to whether he spends it on wages/loans/transfers/size of the squad etc resting with him. f) Give Moxey the remit to carry out a full review of all non playing activities to increase income g) Give Hodgson a 12 month consultancy contract to advise and assist in a full review of ALL playing activities including player recruitment and the Academy. Light blue touchpaper and retire!!
Can't disagree with any of these points, 1950. Carefully thought out and clearly expressed a) to e) I fully agree. g) also sounds reasonable, no qualms with that. If he'd come to NCFC? But (f) The only thing I'd give Moxey, based on his legacy from Wolves and inactivity since joining us is a carbon copy of AN's P45 No blue touch paper required, buddy - I just wish you were in our boardroom in some capacity. More logic, rationale and sense in your one comment than we've had from our board in a year
Back to rumours, FLW suggest 21 year old Sam McQueen on loan from Southampton as a LB replacement. Could be a good shout. http://footballleagueworld.co.uk/2-...der-to-replace-martin-olsson/2/#gallery-slide
As I said ' if I was in charge today ' There was no mention of what I would have done last month or what I might do next month. Is that a problem? Only an arrogant prick never changes his mind.
Nothing like four (4) goals in the first 26 minutes to turn a few heads! Pete O'Rourke @SportsPeteO 7m7 minutes ago Birmingham are considering a surprise move to bring striker James Vaughan back to the club from Bury. #bcfc #bury
And what do you call someone who changes their mind every other week. ie a week ago after the Derby win keep him a week before that sack him.
I tend to be mistrustful of anyone/thing that has 'bot' in their user name, but- please log in to view this image Transfer Rumours Bot@TransfersBot Di Marzio reporting that Daniele De Rossi could be on the move, with a £9m bid from Norwich City expected imminently. edit - from wikipedia In 2009, the French sports magazine L'Équipe named De Rossi as the eighth-best midfielder in the world.[7] Clearly bull please log in to view this image if we've been linked, then
AAAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAAAAAAA!!!! We won't spend reasonable money on players we are desperate for!! We are now going to pay one of the most iconic players in world football about £200,000 a week?! AND spend £9M on a player who's 33?! Apart from all that crap, like he'd drop to us!? A relegation battle Championship club in free-fall! We can't afford 2M to sack AN, but we are gearing up for this bid are we!? On another midfielder.
I think he's 19, but yes, he's the first mentioned. Sam McQueen is the second player suggested, who would be a better prospect for us, IMO. I never believe links with Italian players. It just never happens.
Looks like Canos is for sale, and not just available for loan? Brentford are continuing to pursue a deal to sign Sergi Canos from Norwich City but would need to sell Scott Hogan before the signing can be completed. Brentford have had an initial bid of £1.5m for Canos rejected by the Canaries, who want £3m for the winger. Well, if true, that blows all this pathetic 'youth dynasty ' out of the window!
Our midfielders will need one of those ticket machines you get at the deli counters in the supermarket soon. Colney must be full of them, can't move for midfielders but not a decent CB in sight.
From an EDP article today:- Mr A. Neil - “We have Alex Tettey one booking from a ban and now we are light on midfielders. By the end I have Steven (Nasimith), (Alex) Pritchard and Wes (Hoolahan) as my middle three. That is pretty much all I have fit and available. We have one midfielder now, when we started the season with five and people said we were overloaded.“
