I heard he'd been told he had a limited budget this season after the clubs dealings last - only rumours from a mate I used to work with mind but it wouldn't surprise me. That's why I think he'd have left us too

Selling the club has to come first.

It's bloody stupid wasting time on trying to sign a manager.

Wonder if the football league would consider letting us take a sabbatical. Give the other 23 teams 6pts instead of playing us, and then see if we're ready to start the season 18/19

 

Nice idea. But you know we wouldn't be.

 

This is my Fantasy Island solution. In any case, if all the others were awarded the 6pts, they would credit us with a season total of Zero and relegate us. At least that would be relegation the easy way, and would save the supporters a few quid !

 

Selling while the transfer window open is the worst thing we can do though. It can take weeks for a sale to be pushed through, but while the take over becomes formal the club get put under a transfer embargo so we can't buy or sell and players while the take over is officially going ahead.

But in the meantime I can't see us signing a decent manager until we do though.

All we'll end up with is a desperate deadbeat who'll sign a few journeymen only to be booted out shortly after the season starts.

Hate to say this, and I'm as big an optimist you're likely to find, but my fear is that not selling the club for another 2 months or so, may mean this season may well be a right-off already.

So let's get the club sold, give the owners some time to bed in their own manager and let's move on from there.

Desperately trying to sign a new manager while all this other crap is going on just makes us look like that. Desperate!

 

It's looking like he is gearing to sell this year. Possibly in months. Probably should have just installed an interim and stopped ****ing about.

 

Here's a good idea, bring Sam in and let him sign the players about 5, then give Super kev the job, simple.
