Dave has taken him off, only joking man, I applaud the lad today and everyone of our brilliant, superb players I think this is the day we turn it round.
I've been championing him all along. This no win situation shouldn't have been reflecting on his performances, which it seemed to be. Apart from Pickford, Kone and Defoe. He's been as good as anybody else, this season, if not better. I said he just needed the win and his confidence would go through the roof and we'd go on a run because of it. I stand by that and I hope his injury isn't bad.
He was really good today I thought. Properly dictated play when we had the ball. Shame about the injury.
I'm chuffed for the lad. Always said he was a decent player but, like pretty much any footballer on the planet, wouldn't be able to properly show it without a consistent run of games. Also always said he would probably never get that consistent run of games due to constant niggling injuries. Hope the lad is ok
Pretty sure the record is still there mate, until someone else comes along and breaks it. It was always misleading anyway, he's been on the winning side for Sunderland before.
Does feel weird but he's got himself fired up finally and he's broken his personal voodoo curse so I reckon he'll be putting in some cracking performances. I feel like if we're going to go on a run and get more wins he's going to be part of the team that does it.
