I agree with you mate if only for this season but he could help keep us up the youngsters get to see another how another great professional footballer trains -it's a win win for me. Lescott would have a similar short term effect and long term influence. MAY not be popular but we are not in a position to be too choosy
Exactly, at this moment in time it appears we have almost zero to spend and will have to take what we can get. I'm not saying Keane is great or one for the long term (obviously) but I don't get why when people talk about Defoe they nod sagely and say "hell of a player" and when they talk about Keane, who is a very similar player but a whopping two years older it's "garbage has been no use to anyone".
If that's all we can get then we might as well bring them in Keane could do a job for us Not too sure about lesott
Ha ha i am only joking mate but I do like the championship I just find it miles more exciting than watching this garbage week in week out.
Think you might be a bit disappointed this time around, mate. The matches I've watched in the Championship, this season, have been really dull and very little quality. Newcastle are strolling it and they have Dummett and Yedlin as their full backs and Isaac Hayden and Jack Colback, in midfield.
Well lets hope we improve enough the 2nd half of the season to stay up and make us believe we are going to do really well next season
My guess would be anybody worth getting are pricing themselves out of moves. There's a whole planet of football teams who don't want those players for some reason.
You can watch garbarge every game in that league. The standard is atrocious. And once we're stripped down to the bare bones from relegation and it doesn't dent our debt and we're fighting off the administrators, we'll be just as bad. Championship is fun when you're squad is the best in the league as we've been luck enough to experience. Lets see how you like it when we spend 10 years as a PNE playing in front 17k in a big lonely echoing empty husk of a stadium designed for league we're a million miles from ever experience again. Yeah mate, great fun.
Seems a no brainer Keane & Lescott are both looking for a club and more importantly premier experienced and better than what we've got. We are not able to attract really top match winners - a reality
