As I said a few months ago, the matches with our rivals will determine that. As long as we keep touch with the top 4. Only wins will do against Spurs, Arsenal and especially City. Tough ask but why not?
Not forgetting that City are at Stamford Bridge this Wednesday. A week or so back and the Chavs were in cruise control but their loss at the weekend should see them up their game in order to beat City and restore their points lead - the only problem is that we face Everton at OT on Tuesday night. Fingers crossed (and a full strength team to select) we should get the points.
Always dangerous to wum just before your own team plays. The RS play a weak bottom side team and ****s up two points too. The RS have the toughest (for them) run in they could possibly have. Teams who will sit back and come out only when they are behind to attack an error prone defence at corners and set pieces.
There is no better sporting entertainment at the moment than watching 'Sen. Pep Guardiola - the world's greatest coach' squirm during his post-match interviews. They are classic. If he scratches his head much more the damn thing will fall off - he is making me itch when I watch him. A few more bad results....one bad question and he is going to rip some reporter's head off - live on Sky Sports 1.
That "performance" by Arsenal was the worst I've seen them give. Totally devoid of any passion, drive or will to win. I just cannot see how Wenger can justify this. Every reason ultimately comes to him as the manager. Captain Walcott? he is probably the least captain material in that team. Formation? played right into Big Sam's tactics. The irony is that Wenger will survive this because he is the biggest personality at the club and no one dares fire him. "He has earned the right to decide his own fate". Recipe for disaster for any club. Classic example of the tail wagging the dog. Didn't Ranieri earn the right to get his side out of trouble when he performed a miracle? In my view, by being mediocre in >10 years after their glory years he has definitely used up all the credit he has gained. The owners are to scared to do anything in case they have a post ferguson situation. FFS their situation is SO diffrenet. The new manager in United's case had to follow a winning manager to manage the champions. In Arsenal, the manager can only go up. He will take over a side lacking in spirit, needing change and new players.
United's record with F as captain: 100% !! He'll be captain against the Chavs - you've heard this here first
He was the same when he was in Germany and Spain, he just hates being interviewed, nothing to do with him squirming
There is only one English player in today's playing squad for City - and he is on the bench. Says a lot ......... come on saints
Arsenal win 2-1 at Boro so he may be back to explain why. The last two Liverpool results and Arsenal win tonight haven't helped. I don't see us displacing City for Top 4. It will be between Liverpool or United but we can do without Arsenal picking up any form either. It's certainly unpredictable atm.
