I think he meant the collective 'you' and not you personally. There's plenty of evidence that some blues want us to lose at whatever cost to yourselves.

Most Blues want to see Liverpool lose every week, there's been few occasions in recent years when that would impact on us though.

But that wasn't what he was saying anyway, he was saying that we'd have wanted to lose at United last night due to the impact on Liverpool, which ignored the simple fact that if we'd have held on for another 60 seconds we'd have overtaken them in the league

Liverpool fans don't really care whether Everton win, lose or draw unless it helps us out or if say you are left in a cup and we want you to win it. As you rightly point out, most of you lot just want us to lose and therein lies the difference in both sets of fans. As for you [temporarily?] leap frogging utd with a win last night, doesn't come into the argument as it's about where we are in the league not you with your lot

As for the second paragraph that makes out that you lot are have a different code on the issue of rivalry, when the reality is that the reason 'some' of your lot don't give a toss about our results is that we've generally not been competing at the same level in the league as you over recent times.

Your lot want United to lose every week though, as you consider them to be your peers.

I can guarantee that if we were both competing at the top level, there wouldn't be the same kind of 'pat them on the head' nonchalance about our results mate.
