Just asking, but who are Arenal? Are they really a rival? If so, what league do you and they play in?
Modric has only played half an hour of football for Real and already won more than he did throughout his 4 year career at the Spuds
Bizarre! I'll be stunned if he doesn't replace VDV unless Gylfi S was his initial replacement anyway. Dempsey looks like he's going to Villa! Already a very interesting deadline day
I always knew VDV was a goner the second AVB came in. Signing Gylfi confirmed it. The only thing I'm waiting for now is for G*llas and Adebayor to fall out with AVB.
I reckon Swansea will be a big rival this year. No Euro fixtures, and playing classy football! They will be up there--mark my words!
Do we really need him though? Got plenty of wingers. I'm foaming at the mouth at the prospect of Llorente or Schurrle! Moutinho to Spuds aswell, what a signing. Should have gone for him last season instead of Meireles
He is a natural striker. Rafa ruined him by playing him out wide. Moutinho is class for the Spuds, major statement of intent
They'll find a way to mess it up, this is Spurs after all The reality is though they aren't adding to the squad they are just replacing what they have (unlike Arsenal). We may have lost Drogba, but early evidence suggests Hazard can be just as influential in a different way. And we haven't even talked about Oscar, Marin or Moses yet. Torres is practically a new signing in this form as well. I still think our squad is considerably better than theirs so they aren't a worry to us. It's Arsenal who should really be bricking it, everyone around them is building and they are stuck in the same spot with the tires burning
Fair play to Spurs but can't understand how they are getting him so 'cheap'. His buy out is about 40 million euros I think and Porto are tough negotiators. How can they turn down 39.5 million for hulk and then sell Moutinho for 22 odd? Doesn't make sense. The loss of King, Modric and VDV is huge but they have bought well to replace these.
