As I've just said elsewhere, it's sad, but he was 89 and led a very full life. An 8 year old girl has just died from injuries sustained last night. Perspective.
Mweh as Bisc said on the other thread I have the capacity to separate the two events...sadness and a fond look back at an icon of my childhood and horror and anger at children's lives being taken.
In reflection, a rather cheesy Bond, but he was a great part of my childhood, always looked forwards to seeing his films. RIP, Bond of my Childhood.
The Bond that no matter how fast the bad guy ran away he sauntered after them in high camp, caught them and judo chopped them to defeat...
And convinced me that when I am in my 60's as long as I have good one liners 24 year olds will sneak into my hotel bed.
To this day, I still find it odd that when I go on a business trip and return to my hotel room that there isn't usually a woman I barely know waiting in my bed to surprise me.
he was incredibly old and cheesy in bond. it was like they wanted him from the saint and could not get him but just returned anyway...
Tbf it went too far in View to A Kill...i honestly thought Grace Jones would be the end of him lol...

Here is Roger when he first started out as a model for knitting patterns. I believe he then married Dorothy Squires who was 13 years older than him. Never knew she was a knitter. please log in to view this image
