News coming out that he has died suddenly at the age of 45. Probably one of the best defenders i've seen in a Wycombe shirt and who can forget that late goal at Wimbledon? Christ to die at age just 45 is shocking to hear and thoughts must be with his family.

What a shock. RIP. Condolences to all family and friends

Those were the days when we could "afford" to pay £!00,000 for a player. Worth every penny

RIP macca, stopped playing for us just before my time unfortunatly but having seen footage from the cup run so many times I can see why every fan you speak to speaks so highly of him! Far too young

He is certainly one of those players that the fans loved. Gave everything each and every time he pulled on the quarters.
I must say i was shocked to read of his very premature death. I'm sure its not much consolation to his family and close friends, but he will be fondly remembered by all WWFC fans who had the pleasure to watch him over his years at the club. RIP Macca
