For all the time we spend talking, thinking, writing and generally getting involved in football, when something as terrible as this happens it shows that Bill Shankly's famous statement was sadly wrong. RIP Mike Dye, fellow Bluebird and condolences to his family and friends.
Very much so BfB.. couldn't agree more with your last post. It is so shocking, utterly senseless! Also please guys, leave the finger pointing out.. we need to have a united front against this horrible act regardless of what club the suspects "supports".. They need to be condemned and that's it. End of..
RIP. I can't say I knew him, but by the looks of it a few on here did so condolences to them, his family and anyone connected with him. It's a real tragedy, and one which has, inevitably, caused a lot of interest and comment. Let's leave the accusations and present a united front to show that IF there was foul play afoot, then most people want no part of it and are more disgusted than most by these kinds of action.
what a waste of a life, football is not worth that in any shape or form, until the facts about what occurred then there is little point in surmising what happened, for all we know the lad might have instigated the incident, we dont know yet, It just shows what can happen when there are thugs about, its just not worth it and realise that banter is ok but mindless thuggery can lead to tragic circumstances. Lets get the facts first before blaming anyone, i feel sorry for his family at the moment.....RIP
Boys, really. Chill out and stop with the bickering, a guy died. Two wrongs don't make a right and all that, and you're not legally obliged to respond. Vetch, you had a go at someone earlier in the thread about derailing this with personal insults which do nothing to enhance the thread, but then do it yourself. Come on boys, bit of respect innit. Edit: CityAce, agreed, I found Lucas' comments fairly close to the bone to be honest. Who the hell is he to judge?
Why can't some of you show a little respect and rise above your petty arguing for once? There are plenty of other threads where you can get your handbags out. Mikey... Rest in Peace From a fellow Welshman and Bluebird.
That's a bit 1984 for me, and everyone should be able to show restraint themselves. Anything out of order is getting removed though, count on it.
.Well said Proph this is bad enough without finger pointing..it is now time for condolences not blame
I have had to remove several posts on this thread, due to inappropriate content, considering the circumstances, so could those concerned keep their pettiness off this thread please, as any further abuse between Swansea and Cardiff fans will continue to be removed, please show some respect!................ please log in to view this image I would just like to add my condolences and deepest sympathies, to Michael Dye's family and Friends, may you rest in peace Michael..................
Just wanted to pass my respects onto the family and friends of Mikey Dye , utterly a shocking thing to happen to anyone attending a game of football, I sincerely hope that if anyone is responsible for this, that they are held to account! I am happy that bluebirds and swans fans are on here united on this matter, and other fans are equally here expressing their sympathy to the family of a football fan taken to early. RIP Mikey fella, from a footy fan from Swansea.
R.I.p. Mikey. I just hope some good can come out of this and a determined effort can be made to get rid of the inter club nonsense at the international games whether or not this had any influence on this occasion!
