When do the Rovers players find out if they are staying or not being offered new contracts. We all ready know of ten players under contract for next season, and who do people think will not be offered new deals in the present squad.
I understand your theory, but as they've come up short this season, why would DC not want to improve/overhaul the squad ?
It's a bit harsh to say that they've come up short! DC made a few useful additions which more or less sorted out the poor defending and goalkeeping. But I think the lads did really well on the whole, particularly against the top sides.
I think DC has targets in mind for certain positions which will improve the squad. Then its down to DC if he still wants to keep he squad together as he needs a team for the u23 league. I think he trusts his team and will look to keep all of them. But its then dpwn to the player as they may get a better offer elsewhere. DC does not like to pay over the top wages.
Remainers : Harrison, Gaffney, J.Clarke, Ryan Broom & Alfie Kilgour Gonners : Puddy, Whispering Bob, Danny Greenslade, Christian Montano, J.Easter, J. Lucas & Jake Gosling.
Gashead79 if you look on the NEXT season thread I have listed the players who are under contract based on the information given by Steve Hamer on Rovers news and the 3 players who have signed this season. I have not seen any other notices of other players who signed since then hope this helps Retained list on Rovers news along with interview with DC re Millwall Game Mansell and Mildenhall offered coaching positions
We've had a good season due to the goals from the snake, & then the quality & stability of the on loan keeper & centre back !!! That aside, quality needs to be added ! If DC thinks Gaffney's gunna fire us to promotion, then it's gunna be a long hard season !!!
DC obviously rates Harrison. I still think he could be really great. He's still young, and he's one of the best we've got in the air.
I think Gaffney is worth keeping but as a back up. Harrison should go. The rest, I agree with DC. Im delighted DC wants to keep Mildenhall and Mansell on in coaching roles. Hope they stay.
According to the WDP we have offered a contract to a striker one Alfie Kilgour, two players with the same name or have they messed up again
According to Rovers news Steve Yates will be leaving after tomorrows game, he is going back to Crete to live. Thanks for all you have done for Rovers in the recent years Steve and I wish you and Toni the very best for the future
