You know on fridays, in many Mosques in this country and around the world the congregation pray for the final victory for Islam over the Qawm al-Kafirun - the disbelievers - the kuffar whether it be Christian, Sikh, Hindu, Jew, etc Do you not consider that as brainwashing people to despise others solely based on their religious beliefs? Teaching children to hate at a young age others whose mode of worship differs to them? That among many over things throughout history is why I refer to as above. That is why I reject totally the notion of religion of peace which should be absurd to anyone. I fail to find rationality in a person who believes death is suitable for someone insulting their God, drawing a picture of their prophet and so forth. Such obscene wickedness does not belong in a civilised society.

 

This is probably happening in a handful of mosques. There are hate preachers out there. There is Wahhabi Islam out there which is utterly abhorrent and there are extremists who think every non-believer should die. I'm utterly convinced, though, that there are far more Muslims who are tolerant and just want to go about their daily lives just like everyone else. I don't think you can't just say the whole religion and everyone who follows it thinks like those extremists, because in my experience it simply isn't true.

 

That is your experience mate - we all have them. I've lived for nearly most of my life in and around Birmingham and I have my experiences as well. Also, that prayer isn't taught only at Wahabist Mosques. I never said every Muslim is an extremist but I question the thought of putting a 7th century murderous merchant warlord on some sort of great moral and ethical pedestal and tell me he is the most supreme being to have walked the face of the earth. I cannot and will not tolerate such nonsensical bullshit.
