Not sure what's meant by playing how he's suited to but he played plenty of times in centre mid before being dropped. That said, I can understand if he and Phelan didn't see eye to eye, it's bound to happen when a 'coach' doesn't get to sign his own players.
he said the way the team played, he was at spurs who played a high pressing game and controlled the ball and today we played in a similar way today and mason had his best game also he basically said we spent ridiculous amounts of time on the training ground under phelan instead of actually analysying the opposition.. which makes sense since phelan is a coach and not a manger.. why are you so negative
Thought the players were saying they knew everything about the opposition cos they analysed in that much detail when phelan first took over?
there is a reason phelan never got a mangers job until with us.. and that was only after we no one else came in i believe what mason says.. anyway, some players perform better under a particular manager.. or team.. they are humans.. phelan was completely out of his depth but he was in an utter **** situation. he took the job because he wanted to be a manager.. everyone else didn't allow him to be. that is the fact if silva came in the summer i guarantee we would not be on a pathetic 13 points. 9 points from 15th place.. is utterly pathetic
if marshall starts against bournemouth.. i'll be utterly utterly shocked i'll never post on here again if he starts marshall must go down as the keeper with the worst goals conceded and the minimal points ever gained in premier league history
Thanks for that! I tried listening to Humberside but could barely tell there was a game going on. Great to hear that so many played well - especially Mason and Meyler. Im sure theres more to come from Mason! Great to see Abel back too. Might just get that bet on!
I agree that Jak should start, but i wouldn't be at all surprised if Marshall starts at least one of the Man U or Bournemouth games. Silva is still sussing everyone out and might want to give him the chance to impress (and who knows how much influence Allam is having on the early team selections)
Marco Silva is going to make Merson look a total pillock, or should I say more if a total pillock. If someone with better IT skills than me could save that Sky clip to be rerun and rub his nose in it at the end of the season I'd appreciate it. Vamossssssssssssss Marco!
Don't know if anyone else has posted this, but I thought it was a good rebuttal to Merson's c**tishness! http://www.football365.com/news/mediawatch-special-merson-thompson-and-marco-silva
Methinks there's too many thin skinned ****ers seeing offence where none is really intended - the SKY clip shows ex-pro's bemoaning a (relative) nobody getting a PL job before, in their opinion, a British manager ....... a worthy discussion is it not?
