Might have been the right decision if there was a handball. What a load of ****ing ****e that decision was. Is the proposal that the video ref has absolute final say? Cos if so this really doesn't fill me with confidence.
There's no doubt the ball hit the defender's hand. The question is was it intentional. The forward appears to me to have been climbing all over the defender's back to get more elevation. That "pushing" action may have caused/forced the defenders arm into an "unnatural" position, triggering the ball/hand contact. I wonder if the "multitude" of VAR camera angles analyzed that element ? I doubt it's that foolproof. The debate will continue. Wonder if VAR would have caught the "missed" ?? offside call for the second 'Boro goal ? A similar "two players jumping for an aerial ball" situation.
Ben you seem intent on arguing for the sake of it (yes, yes, ironic coming from me etc.) so I'll leave you to it.
All arguments on this issue are always only for the sake of it We're not the committee debating whether to introduce it or not are we If whoever that is decides to introduce it though, it will be ****
