We are ****e most of the time but Sunderland AFC is who we are and who we care for. Every now and again they surprise us like today which is why we stick by them..This Saturday now is absolutely massive and with a partisan crowd and a win could trn our season around..Get there if you can and sing your hearts out for the lads.

I see it another way. We have been terrible in some games and good in others to the point of being the opposites you quote. But look how close we came to points at Soton, Spurs (away), WHU and West Brom at home but goalie errors, missed sitters by normally reliable players, cost us anything up to ten points.

It is a two way thing between crowd and team and the quick rush to bring out the critics hat is not helpful when we go a goal down rather than try and lift the team. Please anybody do not trot out the Palace/Arsenal/Stoke results as I am aware of the games of which I speak.

We looked completely different yesterday. Defensively rock solid, much more composed and incisive in the middle, lethal up top. I hope we rip Saints to shreds. We need to exact vengeance after their fluke goal got them a draw last time out.

I hope the Manchester trams are on song today, keeping the bottom six within 2 points of each other.

I've said it on another thread, all tough games in the premiership but Southampton at home is the easiest fixture you could wish for, at the moment.

    Great chance for another 3pts.

Dead right, No VanDijk, a trip to Wembley on the horizon so injuries to be avoided at all costs.

Since they have got to the final, their players clearly have their eyes on Wembley.

I hadn't realised the slump that the Saints are in at the minute.

They've lost 6 out of their last 7 league games and their defence is very fragile at the minute.

If we can make that 7 out of 8 and show yesterday wasn't a fluke we've got a massive massive chance to pull out of the bottom 3.

SAFC take you to some, very rare highs, they take us to lots of very low lows. Expect to get beat 5-0 at home next week,. Rodders n ding dong our new super midfield.
That will have given the lads a massive gee up and could just put a couple of thousand on the crowd next week.
Still I enjoyed my ale last night and watching MotD when I came in. And again this morning.

True, at the same time though, I think he put a transfer request in and made it clear he wanted to go. His manager might have thought his performances would have gone downhill.

**** knows why he went to West Ham, though <doh>

Plenty players have been refused transfers. I think Puel is an awful manager, he was lucky that he didn't get United or Hull in the LC semi cos he'd have been dumped out by both. He got Liverpool at a perfect time.

True. Have they won a game yet, this year?

Apart from that 1-0 win in the replay, at Plymouth?

Dick Van Dyke gets injured, before they find out the extent if his injury they sell Fonte then find out their other CH is out for at least three months, bonkers.
Andy Carroll must have thought it was his birthday yesterday they are playing a young kid as cover and it showed yesterday.

I don't think so, they look like they're giving up on Klopp.

That's exactly what you get from a team without leaders on the pitch. Same with Arsenal.

Southampton board were saying that it was a blessing in disguise getting him in and Koeman out.

Funny how the outside differ isn't it!

I agree. Puel looks shocking. a few more bad results and they could plummet.

I did not realise he had been at Soton for about seven or eight years, but I reckon he had a surge of "I deserve a better club than this" when Portugal won the Euro's. Soton to WHU was just about a parallel move at the time.
