Definitely worth a read this. Split across 3 images I'm afraid. 1 - https://pbs.twimg.com/media/C6bHd1jWcAMs2yF.jpg 2 - https://pbs.twimg.com/media/C6bHd1nXMAIMSQQ.jpg 3 - https://pbs.twimg.com/media/C6bHd2OWMAAmbLe.jpg Not sure how much of that I believe, it does seem rather biased and there's a few things I really cannot imagine LJ saying. Directly telling the Fleetwood manager that Wes was crap for example, and the alleged fallout with Tomlin (I'm still pretty sure this is untrue based on something I've been told). Having said that, it makes for some damning reading. I definitely believe the things about Cotts. I know for a fact that some of the players still speak to him and see him.
trouble is it SEEMS to sound and feel right ,supported the man as long as I could. now I just detest him for what hes doing to our club.
I read this yesterday on OTIB, it seems a bit extreme but I'm prepared after the underhand activities this week to believe the direction of the content but some of it seemed crafted with emotion.. I wrote on another thread the way I felt yesterday about developments so I'll just copy that and leave it there.LJ is just one big false ignominy to me now. ' We have won 2 out of the last 22 games, losing 11 out of the last 17 and earning just 12 points out of the last 66 and our supreme head coach is bragging about the 'Character and Commitment' of our team, it's shambolic and it's all down to him. It's a shame our management and owner does not show the same 'Character and Commitment' to us fans and boot out this non entity of a head coach who has axed his assistant coach, holds the record for management losing matches in Bristol City history, openly admits to making tacticle errors, falls out with players, who's substitutions, team selection and playing tactics are a complete nonsense, who along with the owner blames fans for having an opinion, the man is toxic, he has turned fans against fan, he is a total waste of space, who is full of waffle, skillful at bending the facts and hiding the truth, he will get us relegated, he is a complete embarrassment to our club and us fans. We need someone with experience, maturity, man management skills, patience and the ability to instill belief, pride and passion into our players and make us fans and the people that support our club walk with a spring in our steps and be proud of being a RED again, Johnson's efforts are bluff and bluster and as flat as a witches tit, get shot of the little buffoon as quickly as possible if we are going to survive.'
Whilst I remain sceptical of the validity of all the 'I heard from such-and-such that the players all hate LJ' stuff; in terms of being representative of the majority and/or the interests of the person involved (naturally, Wes Burns' dad would be particularly biased), I must admit that there's an awful lot of smoke for there not to be a fire of some sorts. I'll never go as far as RR and say I want us to lose in order for LJ to get sacked, but scratching out these draws, when what we need is wins is frustrating, when they're used as 'justification' (!) that we're so close to getting results, without ever actually achieving them. I applaud long-term planning, but I don't think sacking LJ would represent an admission of failure - just the realisation that (particularly in the unpredictable world of football) even the best plans can go awry, and need adjustment along the way. Unfortunately, I don't see us being capable of mounting a playoff challenge anytime soon, which I think ought to have been a realistic ambition for next season before the s***storm we've endured for the past 3-4 months.
It might be for next season, when we're attempting to get back to the Championship before all our squad have up and sodded off
Fair point, the problem is this sort of thing is interesting to read and you can believe the tone of some of it. But what to believe. I was told something about Jamie Mac when he was playing for us, came from a good source but have never repeated it because you just never know
I have said before another fringe player has said it is not a good place to be at present. God knows what is happening down there, but I believe the above. It is the tip of the iceberg.
Just penned a ditty for LJ to the tune from Frozen Let Him go Let Him go we dont want him anymore Let Him go Let Him go hes f---cked up, show him the door We dont care what Steve Lansdown says Let the Axe fall down We Never Wanted Him Anyway!
It is surprising the number of top "peeps" that have handwriting almost illegible ...take doctors! or their spelling etc leaves a bit to be desired....
To be fair the players were behind the manager on Tuesday night - I sit near the bench and the subs celebrated our goal WITH the Manager. There is so much c**p kicking around on social media that is not true. On this board I trust the opinions of all our posters (even if I don't agree with them), but take stories of fall-outs etc etc with a huge pinch of salt. All I know is that our results in the last 6 months have been awful - the Manager and the players are trying (we can't say they don't give 100%) - confidence is very low (and is affecting some more than others) - the Owner has stayed loyal to the Manager (who knows if that will turn out to be the right decision) - the fans take a lot of credit because at the games they may be quiet, but are not booing/singing Johnson out etc I suspect that if there was a poll probably 80%-90% of all City fans would want LJ to go. I have this nagging feeling that it may be too late to act now, and actually keeping him may give us a better chance of staying up???
So where do we, or LJ go if the worst happens and he takes us down which is looking increasingly likely ? I agree that the majority of fans probably already want LJ out, but if we go down and he is still retained as Manager then what ? More calls to boycott games, hold protests, sign petitions, make Johnson Out banners ? It seems to me that rather then do the right thing several weeks ago, the club have decided to put all of their eggs in one basket which already has a sizeable hole in it. If we think it's become unsavoury recently with what's happened, then I think it might be about to get a whole lot worse.
I wouldn't be surprised to see Gary Johnson return soon, as possible Dictator of Football, and then we could have an even more dysfunctional organisation. Don't laugh please because, as we are fast coming to know, anything and everything is likely to happen, except for the blatantly obvious.
Apparently SL has invested in a science laboratory over by Emersons Green, they specialise in AI he was hoping a robot would be able to take over team selection and game play ....oooooooooops is the key word, he thought AI was artificial intelligence, it turns out to be Artificial Insemmination! just one to change the mood for Saturday afternoon....
Depends on todays result, but assuming he is still there after the weekend, we have 9 games then left and there is little point in taking any action then. LJ would want to be in situ next season, as no one else would want to take him with a record as bad as that would be
