Theres an article in the daily fail saying his future is in doubt cos we've allegedly missed out on some transfer targets.
That **** rag really picks its moments.... just after Carr is booted out on Rafas say so. I'd say his commitment hasnever been so strong.
And the Sunday Times saying he could quit cos of missing out on "key signings", then just mentioning Tammy Abraham! Brighton wanted him as well, is Chris Hughton gonna quite as well then? Hardly any teams have signed anyone yet, what a load of horseshit.
We would not bow to Chelsea's demands he gets 1st team football garunteed... So rafa told them and him to do one..... Simple
I gave up buying newspapers years ago. The whole lot of them make **** up all of the time. And simce they got rid of the titties they are worthless to me. I wouldn't even wipe my arse on one if I were desperate.
This was obviously going to be the headline given our past history in **** transfer windows and Rafa's future always going to be the center of attention. It's probably bullshit.
The first signs of the Southern & Manchester media to get Rafa out of Newcastle, which they are desperate to bring about. God forbid, we might even be a little successful with him in charge - can you imagine the HORROR the thought of that fills the media with ? No chance to wallow and gloat at our distress, to spitefully attack the club fans and even the ******** CITY as they've done for last 10 years PLUS ?
I think there's got to a bit of waking up and smelling the coffee lads. We had a transfer no-show in January, which clearly irked Rafa. I sense he was genuinely surprised and disappointed that no-one was signed. And now we've got no firm evidence that Ashley will fulfil his latest 'every last penny' promise. He's just as likely to sell up. Does anyone believe Rafa is happy with the progress this summer? Have the club made any statements about progress? Hope I'm wrong to wonder if the rags have a point. Edit - I doubt he's about to quit right at this moment. But I reckon his patience is being tested
I imagine Rafa has instigated this. Got an inside source just to put the pressure on to generate some action. It's an old effective trick with tricky owners. Might not work with Ashley though, he is the type who either tells him to **** off or simply digs his heels in.
This doesn't seem to square with Carr going last week - think it's just the usual press **** stirring
