It was ok. My mates lad was playing. Good young band. But two or three pubs we went in served it in plastic glasses. Why? The pubs were no fuller than a normal Saturday night. Poor show for me. You heard of bricknell brwewery den? I was drinking a lot of that in wok so ever. Was ok. Not great
Heard of it but not drank it Plastic glasses are ****e. Can understand if it's heaving, but not if it isn't busy Has been bouncing some years though so might be pre planned in expectation of bigger numbers
Had a great time (bar one dickhead pissing on my wife's leg during Kasabian, had his cock out 5 feet away from young kids pissing in a bottle - ****). Didn't stay for Katy Perry, not my bag. Back for more tomorrow. Anybody who went today and stayed til the end, how quickly were the buses moving? Was there a long wait?
My mrs and daughter kept halfway through any perry. She said it was starting to turn a but nasty, with stewards stepping in. A lot pissed up. They got on straight away but she reckoned it would be bad at the end. On another note some of daughters friends went to town to get the bus at twelve waited three hours and were told no more buses, they had to go home. They're heartbroken obviously. Also mrs fuming at the prices, 5 quid for a tray of chips!!! And my little daughter and her mates were disgusted at the amount of litter people drop. Apart from that she had a great time. No1 daughter is going today. It's also her. 13th birthday today.
Yeah the litter was quite shocking. There'll be some hard graft this morning clearing it before it starts today. Kicking off at Katy Perry?! I can't think of a gig I'd expect to kick off at less! I actually hate drunk people. I don't know how they managed to afford to get so drunk yesterday though! Glad your daughter had a good time. Hope the other one does today. I hope by no1 your referring to age rather than favouritism??
Cheers john. chazz the dog is my favourite. As I constantly tell the kids... Ye by age. I've just watched the vid back of her opening her prezzys. I crammed a helluva lot of Dadisms into my comments
Teenage daughter now Chazz Happy Birthday to her Happy 'Scaring any potential boyfriend/girlfriend/husband/wife/partner so that they know that you'll kill them if they treat her badly...for the rest of your life' to you
Regarding your daughters friends missing it. I'm not suggesting it didn't happen, but it is confusing. The buses were running taking people there right into the evening to allow for people working during the day I did hear there was some issues at Walton St, but it seems really strange Horrible for them though whatever happened
What do people expect to pay for food at these events? Especially considering the exceptional value of getting in. At Glastonbury it's always £5 for anything - chips, a pastie - anything. As for beer, you pay £5 a pint in Leeds city centre.
And now the lying has started. Just asked her again. Well she did go but she waited from one till three thirty and didn't stay long.... But that's not the same as not getting there daughter. Whatever dad
£5 for burgers which I think is ok As you say there's not much chance you'd get a pint of Heineken for any less than £5 at any festival in the U.K. And all festival prices should be in multiples of £5 anyway so you don't have to carry change around (we do the same thing with players so club's can pay exactly £10m ...it stops us having to keep millions of pound coins to give the change to agents )
Happy birthday for your daughter, enjoy it while you can. I have two teenage girls and they get more difficult as they get older.
Mine are late 20's / early 30's I shall save this thread and let you know just as soon as it gets any easier!
Transport seems a bit of a disaster, took junior four hours from attempting to leave, to getting home and he left early. Went at 10.00 this morning and he's just got back home, as there a three hour queue and he couldn't be arsed to wait, he's going back again later.
