In what was arguably the most dramatic game of the season at Craven Cottage back in October - the R’s came away with three valuable points thanks to Idrissa Sylla’s late header with Fulham’s Sone Aluko missing their second penalty of the game in injury time. Fulham have since gone on a very respectable run, losing just three of their last 14 league games, which has included five goal wins over play-off hopefuls Huddersfield and Reading. The Cottagers find themselves in 8th place and will know a victory or draw will see them overtake Derby County in 7th. One of the key elements to Fulham’s turnaround since October has been the form of Chris Martin. The forward has found the net eight times since joining on loan from Derby but he’s not the only source of goals for Jokanović side – only Newcastle have scored more in the Championship this campaign. Fulham come into this off the back of a commanding 2-0 home win over Barnsley but on their last away outing they were defeated 2-1 by Brighton at the Amex Stadium thanks to two late goals. QPR are currently in their best form of the season. The R’s have won their last three games with the most recent triumph being against Reading at the Madjeski Stadium. That was certainly the most impressive out of all the victories with Rangers perfecting their game plan of hitting the Royals on the counter attack. With Jamie Mackie now back and firing and young players such as Ryan Manning and Darnell Furlong really grasping their opportunities combined with the outstanding form of Polish midfielder Paweł Wszołek; the Hoops squad is now beginning to take shape under Ian Holloway. It has been over four years since QPR last logged a home victory against Fulham and over 36 years since we recorded a double over our west London rivals. When the Whites came to Loftus Road last season we found ourselves 3-0 down after the first period but Rangers have the chance to put that straight on Saturday afternoon and make it four wins on a bounce. please log in to view this image please log in to view this image TEAM NEWS QPR: QPR will welcome James Perch back into the squad after making a full recovery from illness. Ian Holloway has confirmed that Darnell Furlong will keep his place in the QPR side for Saturday’s derby against Fulham. http://www.westlondonsport.com/qpr/qpr-boss-says-hed-mad-not-include-youngster-fulham
Looking forward to it. My first game in 7 weeks. Hate those red eye flights but back early enough. 11/4 is a big price for a home team. I'm not a big gambler but I might have a tenner on that.
Nicely done as per usual 999's.......woUldale be happy with that side.....like the way hall moves out in to the holding role allowing the midfield to work higher up the pitch......who'd thunk it that Holloway can actually do tactics!!!!! U R's
Yes indeed. He has shipped out just about everybody that a large percentage of this Forum and the fan base as a whole wanted gone and replaced them with players we wanted in. Does that mean that if it all goes tits up we're as much to blame as he is? Or that we are as tactically inept and clueless? There's a bit more to do in that respect but I fully expect Shodipo to return at some point (he did sign a new contract after all) and for Perch to be jettisoned. Young keen players with a bit of flair about them suddenly seem to have a chance to make their mark. Now if only we could have a run of 2-3 weeks without any more injuries. Or am I asking for too much?
