Certainly not going to grumble after 4 wins in 5 but it would be nice to keep a clean sheet at some point
Great that we gained another 3 pts tonight, whilst most of the other relegation candidates (with the exception of Wigan) drew or lost. I well and truly feel we are safe now - onwards and upwards!
But only 2 on target, happily resulting in 2 goals - would be nice to see more shots testing the keeper.
Not one better displays especially first half, pawel should have made 2 instead of hitting the bar, played better in 2nd half & just didn't get run of the ball in there area, give Barnsley credit they played well & good counter attacking & quick, still onwards & upwards.
I'm not going to pretend it was brilliant but it was entertaining. We attack with purpose if not always with quality. 2-1 flattered them a bit I thought and if it wasn't for an unlucky slip I don't think we'd have conceded. I thought all of them played at least reasonably well. Freeman wasn't as good second half. Bidwell maybe MOTM for dealing with Watkins who I was worried about.
The Ravel sub was bizarre and unnecessary. The rest of the players didn't know where he was meant to play and he didn't know who he was marking at set pieces. Got away with it but I don't get what benefit he was meant to give the team in that situation.
Highlights. 1. Luke Freeman Great little player. Star in the making. My first time seeing him and well impressed. 2. Meeting Ellers in the pub Thanks for coming to say hello. I recommend Laytown for races in September. Half an hour North of Dublin Airport. I will drive you there. Good to see ya fella.
Entertaining was the word. We're not exactly Barcelona but given much of what we've been served up over the last year, it really was entertaining. Should have been 3:1 at half time - great goal line clearance from Bidwell who was indeed MOTM. Felt sorry for Hall who'd had a very solid game and made one silly slip for their goal. Huge credit to Ollie who made the changes for reasons not know to us but with a great result. Connor had them back-pedaling but sadly to no avail. Maybe next time?
