I bought my ticket for the Brum game this morning - logged onto the website, bought and paid for the ticket and to print the ticket at home. They send you a 'PDF' of the ticket, you print it out and hey presto, no queueing in the rain waiting to collect your tickets.
I did this for the Brighton friendly, so much easier and less time consuming than picking tickets up at the ground.
I don't have a printer, and didn't see that option to ask my gf to print it out at work. So was rain for me!
I call them and they post the tickets to me for about £1 extra within 2 days of purchase the entire call was less than 3 minutes as long as you ring mid morning.
That whole print your own ticket crap sounds very Ryanair. They should make an app with those barcode scanner things for your phone. Most airlines and train tickets are like that now days. (not sure if that's one word or two)
I have email accounts. Just think it's better to have the tickets with serated stubs mailed to you . If it was instant as an e ticket then that would be progress. Beats lining up in the rain anyway.
You simply have to be on email these days. A barcode like the train would be good, as it's so handy scanning it off your phone. But that would mean installing scanners at all the entrance points.
I like the option of being able to choose my own seat and live quite close to the City Centre, so can pop into Castle Mall and buy them there. I have used the phone service previously and it is excellent.
