Love them, loathe them, for me I loved the era.. This band, very political but very on the ball called the first ever punk band from 71/72. I have both their albums and love them, called Third World War, some of the elders might remember, the group formed as a bunch of Lorry drivers, workers and whatever that could play something and this was their result. Their 2 albums are a must listen, especially the tracks 'Working Man and Teddy Teeth'..Enjoy but punk underground is better..
It had its softer moments as well ,johnny tried his soppy side to nancy when he wrote "babystrange i love you so much i can hardly ****" on the flaccid label.
Never realised punk was about until mainstream punk about 77. Liked a fair bit but from the norm punk bands. Never heard any of the underground/hardcore stuff.
cromer links north norfolk, it was 1977 xmas eve, tickets were £1,75 they played from 8pm until 9pm the penultimate gig before the dreadful American tour in the new year 1978 please log in to view this image
Haha no problem mate.. You were to probably to busy eating, drinking, ****ting and planning your next holiday in that time too, oh and agreeing with the neighbours whatever the **** it was about.. Stay cool Vinny..
Loved punk as a kid, the pistols especially. The older I get, the ****ter I think it is. Music and the country probably needed it to shake the establishment up and give the youth a voice but where I once heard a kindred spirit I hear some **** in tight trousers bleeting on about something I really don't give a toss about because life happened. Weird one as I really loved it. Think the fact that they concentrate on controversy and politics just means I completely outgrew it.
