Can't speak for you, but I finally feel ready to change my username too. There is a new Saints legend in town.
If we had Gabby at the start of the season he would have been on the physios table since september : ) We've had rotten luck all year, him arriving now could be the saving of our final run in ,setting us up brilliantly for next year!
Well, yes you're possibly correct. But there is a difference between chance and not being ready. Clearly, at the beginning of this season, whilst the squad had been strengthened in one or two areas, it was significantly weaker in others - that is, the goal getting department. Poor old Dusan's shoulders started slumping by mid November. What was the point of trying to make defence splitting passes - nobody would be there. Or putting crosses in that were right on the money - nobody would be in the right place. Dusan lives to assist and now he's a happy chappie again. He has Gabby, and when Charlie comes back, he'll have him again. And the pressure won't all be on Charlie to get the goals, 'cause Gabby will get the rest.
Yep, we were absolutely sensational yesterday. Amazing performance, I literally have no idea how we lost. We were better than them all over the pitch, yet somehow didn't win. Proud of the supporters as well, the atmosphere was fantastic all around our end. Just an all round brilliant day. What a player Gabbiadini looks. Not just his finishing, but his link up play is magical.
What an amazing game! Great atmosphere, great day, and so proud of the way we played! We started superbly, scored the first goal. And OK yes there were some mistakes (maybe if Virgil had been playing we would have the trophy in our cabinet today...), but the way we responded! The players couldn't have given any more, the fans couldn't have sung any louder, it was awesome. So proud to be a Saint! Gutted, but proud. No mention of Saints in the sports news on 5 live this morning, only how Ibrahimovic was the man of the match (really?) and how Mourinho has won yet another trophy... Sad times - this really and genuinely wasn't the story of yesterday BBC. Newsround reported it properly - says it all really.
Yep, from 2-0 down to 2-2 against Man U at Wembley is astounding. To dominate them is astounding. My biggest memory is at about 75 mins, the WHOLE of the saints end stood up, scarfs held aloft for a rendition of OWTSGMI at full voice. Boy was it full voice. Goosebumps just remembering it.
Mine is after Gabbiadini scored his second the whole saints end jumping, waving their scarves and singing for him.
Once I get home this evening I'm going to watch that, enjoy and cry a bit. I'm more upset about the loss today than I was last night... If only...
Love it. However there have been Tweets demanding that Gary Neville should apologise for remarks he made about it, does anyone know what he actually said that wound our fans up so much?
