A friend of mine is at the match and has said Holloway's subs have completely f'd it up for us. Apparently we've been awful since he took off furlong, no idea if he was injured or not. Down to 10 now

Not sure about that - commentators said that QPR need to do something because we are all over the place and getting rolled over (before the subs were made).

We always seem to be the first or second game to finish when we are losing, but always the last when we are winning.

Another one of those 2-1, close but not cigar losses. I guess with Freeman off, it would have been a tough ask to pull a goal back - after Preston scored their 2nd goal I actually went and shovelled snow for 20 mins, hoping to return to a better end result.

Except Villa beating Derby 1-0, now nipping on our heels.

Cheeky goal from Lua Lua I see:-

Kazenga LuaLua has backheeled Ian Holloway's side into a 1-0 lead at Preston.

Preston North End edged closer to the Championship play-off places as they came from behind to beat 10-man QPR.

The visitors started the stronger and Kazenga Lua Lua had two efforts saved by Chris Maxwell before back-heeling his side ahead late in the first half.

But the lead was short lived as Aiden McGeady's long-range strike levelled the score right before the break.

And Jordan Hugill slotted the home side ahead before QPR's Luke Freeman was sent off for a second yellow card.

The Lilywhites are now eighth in the Championship table, six points behind Sheffield Wednesday in sixth.

Preston went into the match having lost just once in their last 10 games but they were forced onto the backfoot early on, with keeper Chris Maxwell forced to deny both Pawel Wszolek and Lua Lua twice in the opening half hour.

But Lua Lua's persistence paid off when he finally beat Maxwell with a brilliant back-heel from close range.

QPR's lead lasted less than 10 minutes, however, as McGeady equalised with a long-range strike with virtually the last kick of the first half.

Preston began to assert themselves after the break and deservedly took the lead when Hugill scored with a right-footed shot from close range following a corner.

Rangers remain 16th in the table, nine points clear of the relegation places.

With hindsight think we'll win 2-1, personal view you shaded first half in the second when we went 442 only one side in it. By the way do you use invisible ink on the back of that blue away kit?

Sounds like a slightly unlucky defeat against a decent side. The sending off looked ridiculously harsh (or just wrong) and can't be appealed as it was a second yellow.

Two winnable home games now. Four points from those please.

How did my main man Perchinho get on in the Xabi Alonso role?

If the ref thought it was a deliberate stamp by Freeman why wasn't it a straight red?

Didn't really notice so that is probably a good thing, although don't think Hall would have allowed Mcgeedy to stroll along the edge of the box have a pasty and pick his spot
