As I've said, Walker went for £50m, Pogba for £90m the year before, Everton wanted £50m for Barkley, in terms of stats, Everton are getting Gylfi at a bargain.
Probably borrowing against known future income. Now why would the Yanks want earlier receipt of guaranteed revenue?
With the best players snapped up ages ago that the better run clubs do as they know it is the essential part of getting the players you need to strengthen and then we have Jenkins way of doing things like selling our better players as our priority first and bring in a few lower league players to show he is doing something while leaving what we really need until the last minute where as usual he wants to bring back old players who are not interested last season let alone this season....The truth is we have missed the boat Yet Again and we keep on missing the boat every Fcuking season and that is down to Jenkins 100%......I wont be surprised if Chelsea come in for Llorentte with an offer in the last few days he will sell and not give the state of the club that we need him a second thought as it means more money will go into his bulging bank account......And what is all this Crap of going to the bank for a loan when we have multi millionaires on the board who can loan the club the money....It is about time they gave the club money anyway........The owners and the share holders are on a good earner here and once we are relegated they will sell up and do a runner....
Probably as simple as cash flow mate. I'm not sure what date the Sky money lands it used to be late August
£40m for Drinkwater http://www.telegraph.co.uk/football...igning-leicester-midfielder-danny-drinkwater/
It gives the bank first dibs on the TV revenue that's all, it gives no indication of the size of the advance, or even whether there's been an advance. As I say, with it being a front line bank it could easily merely be a short term overdraft extension. It's all fairly standard fare
I negotiated quite a few during my career - from "bog standard" loans to invoice discounting Have the Swans done this previously? They certainly did something similar with the future instalments relating to Ayew's transfer to West Ham. But nothing of this size? Hence my rhetorical question!

Or the Americans are receiving tax advice? Dai tells them to this and this and they then do the exact opposite
