BREAKING NEWS. Fresh from their As likely a scenario as any, I suppose. He was as good as gone when he suddenly cried off the USA trip. The rest is just padding.
This thing that grinds is that if we didn't sell Gylfi, there'd be no financial issues - we'd carry on as normal. Suddenly we get a huge financial windfall and all we hear is " oh Swansea can't go spending 30million on a player - they have to be careful with their finances" . We'd still be financially better off than if we kept Sigurdsson. Twats.
Swansea bank £33m, more like the Yanks 'bank'!! Well let's see what happens next. They've got no excuses now if Clement doesn't get to recruit some players..
Look! The financial structure of your club will always show a need for a loss on operations to be compensated for by a profit on transfers. Until the operational costs are sorted, this will always be the case unless your owners shove in some money.... which they seem loath to do. Indeed, the bank loan to cover future transfer income gives a clear indication they don't even want to put in some working capital let alone 'true' investment. I'm not even sure how the owners will withdraw cash at all. It can only be as a Directors Loan which will be repayable at some point. (and BTW, Dai and his tax understanding lead me to wonder about his 'business'. I can only assume it is a small personal operation!)
I expect Bony to be signed before the Utd game now. Apparently it's already a done deal, just sort the paperwork etc out.
Because they're trying to work out the best way to screw us over by finding the cheapest replacement and pocketing the profits
"The Sun claims that Swansea manager Paul Clement believes that the 28-year-old will be the perfect candidate to replace the outgoing Gylfi Sigurdsson who is set to join fellow Premier League side Everton." He's a ****ing striker not playmaker http://www.footballinsider247.com/r...ty-striker-close-joining-premier-league-club/
Probably just wait until the 'window closes' & we've not spent anywhere near the Gylf fee for some sort of evidence. Everything seems to point to 'at least' cost neutral with their business intentions as far as player recruitment appears. Jenkins justified the sale a year ago that we needed 'investment ' to progress, well one year later, our squad strength is shocking. Those '****ers' announced at the survival at the end of the season last, that they were so happy & had no intentions of selling our best players', well one has gone!! I'm non plussed personally over Bony, he's been 'out' so long, hope it works of course. It's still got 'Jenkins' all over it though. Just wish we could at least have one manager with his influence on signings...
