watching the manc derby at the weekend and it was billed as the 400illion pound game, so averaging it out equally at 200million per team thats just over 18million per player, not including subs.
Then probably an average of 100k a week per player, some more some less, so for 90 minutes 22 men earned 2.2million between them.
The game itself was ok with a magical moment, but what i dont see is how this game with all its millions involved was any more enjoyable for a neutaral? than say west ham v west brom 3-3 draw.
We at safc have a billionaire who has invested heavily into the club, but not to the same level as the big boys, would we like an arab owner or russian tycoon to try to buy us instant sucess (judging by this season all them millions isnt going to buy chelsea or man city anything) or carry on doing the right thing knowing that just to break into europe is really as far as we could ever go.
We are lucky what about west brom wolves etc, what can be done to make it a fairer league, teams beat teams but usually its the money teams who win.
Before mr short we were a yoyo club and money has stopped that, lots has been suggested but what would make it a premier league where everyone has a level playing ground, not a league split into 3 tiers
