t's Here Again!

Please put your names below for the prediction league for the new season. Everyone welcome!

Also place your 31/12/17 Argyle position and the final position for end of the season.

Half season will be 75 points correct or 50 for the closest if nobody gets it correct.
Final position will be 200 points correct and 100 points for closest if nobody gets it correct.

Points change.

3 Points for a score that is correct and 1 point if your prediction wins.. you know what i mean i think
1 for a draw.

Joker count's as double each week.

First goal scored in the match time, Correct 5 points, closest to the time 3 points.

All Predictions must be received prior to the kick off time.

This year the prize for last is waiting to be announced?

I'm in, if no objections. I doubt my insider knowledge will have any bearing on my ability to predict, but if anyone objects to my participation then I will gracefully withdraw.

Why on earth would anyone object? It's quite simple, if you win the competition then we just disqualify you......

Oh , and if you don't predict an Argyle win every single week then I will report you to your bosses as having no faith in the manager and players.

 

Having done the jokey response to lyndhurst above now to be a bit more serious.

Lyndhurst, nobody who posts on here has the slightest objection to you posting whatever you feel like posting and nobody expects you to give away any secrets the club may have that you are privy to. As far as I'm concerned you are just another poster with a point of view and I doubt anyone else sees you as different to that. Anyone who isn't a troll is welcome even if they've gone to the dark side and joined the establishment. Mind you the occasional hint.............................

I'm in after a gruelling season last year. How do you predict the first few games of the new season? Answers on a postcard please.

No lack of faith in Mr Adams but I'm going to go 16th at halfway and 12th to finish. I suspect our Derek would like to take the leading "1" s off those but that seems a step too far this season. I don't think we'll struggle. An unnecessary hostage to fortune there.

Plym you need to send your predictions for the finish in by 18.16 today or you will be penalised 50 points... joking...

I'll need my week away at Bournemouth next week before I can cope with any predictions Joe.

 

Thank you all, I am in then. Can't do occasional hints, all I would say is that anything that is a 'fact' is quickly put out into the public domain by the media department. So if nothing is tweeted or on the website then you can be pretty sure there is nothing to report. The amount of stuff about Argyle that appears on various sites as genuine nailed on facts is astounding. In the last week there have been nailed on transfers and comments about players 'wages , all purporting to be true facts from a source close to the club, and none of which are even close to the truth. Am always happy to answer non commercially sensitive questions-as is anyone else at the club.
Having seen all the pre season friendlies and having met some of the characters involved, in my opinion we have a decent squad that I think could perform well. I would say that play offs are a decent each way bet. (hows that for sitting on the fence).

 

P.S. I am happy to donate some real prizes for this years league. A proper piece of Argyle memorabilia for the winner (not sure what yet), and a collection of Argyle related crap that I will no doubt amass over the next 9 months for the member who scores the least points.

 

Bleddy hell lyndhurst, when Plym reads that last post he will never let the Pentagon have their computer system back.........
