I don't miss football at this time of year. Test match series, Tour de France, Open golf, Wimbledon...... I can do without all the transfer rumour nonsense and pointless friendlies in the US of A (y'all come back now, ya hear). I get back into football some time in August. It has no place in July.
Tashan Oakley-Boothe and Kazaiah Sterling will be travelling with the first team squad for the pre-season tour of the USofA.
Moussa Sissoko won't be going on Spurs' pre-season tour to the States. No great surprise there. It has been suggested that some sort of illness is supposed to be the cause, in that Mauricio Pochettino is sick of the sight of him
I can only guess he picked up a knock either in training or the friendly with Orient, considering he's been training with the first team - but then again, there's no reason given for his absence (unlike Lamela, Rose, Son and Sissoko)
I think this might explain why the likes of Stirling, Shashoa and Duncan didn't travel to the USofA... We won 3-2, with Harrison scoring a hat trick.
Good for the youngsters to get a run out against a senior side, even if it's from League 2. De Bie's still only 17, too. Born in the year 2000, for anyone who wants to feel old.
Our first pre-season game is later on today, for anyone who's understandably failing to keep up. I say today, but it's a 1am kick-off for anyone in the UK, so it's sort of tomorrow. Not sure if I'll be watching it or even what channel it's on.
What TV channel is the match on? Tottenham vs PSG will be shown live on Premier Sports. Coverage will begin after the conclusion of Juventus vs Barcelona, which starts two hours earlier. Guess we will have to find a decent stream...... Update - apparently Premier Sports is a £9,99 monthly subscription available for Sky, Virgin Media or their own player and app. All Spurs tour games are covered so £2.50 a pop and then cancel...... or find that stream........
The scoring makes absolutely no sense, does it? 3 if you get it in the hole seemed to become 0, for some reason.
Tottenham Hotspur starting XI: Lloris; Walker-Peters, Carter-Vickers, Vertonghen, Davies; Dier, Dembele; Eriksen, Onomah, Nkoudou; Janssen.
