    Pre-season Fixtures
    JUNE 5, 2017 BY RTGADMIN

Sunderland AFC has finalised its pre-season programme, which kicks off on June 29 when the players return to the Academy of Light.

The first-team and under 23 squads will travel to Austria for a five-day training camp at the beginning of July, returning ahead of the opening friendly fixture of the pre-season period against Bury FC at Gigg Lane, on the evening of Friday 07 July.

Following that, the first-team will play three games against Scottish opposition, during a week-long visit north of the border.

Upon their return the Black Cats will make a trip to West Yorkshire to face Bradford on July 22, followed by a game at Scunthorpe on July 26.

The pre-season programme concludes with a showpiece game at the Stadium of Light on Saturday 29 July, to commemorate the 20th anniversary of the opening of the club’s iconic home. The game is the first pre-season fixture at the Stadium of Light since 2008 and the opposition will be announced in due course.

Ticket information for the games will be confirmed as soon as possible. Supporters are advised to check the club website, www.safc.com, for all the latest pre-season news and information.

Celtic will have bigger teams to play I am afraid, most likely we will play Darlington. What a disaster the way this club has been run eh.

Holy ****, where are we physically moving the country to?

Maybe we should run a thread with a vote on. I would go for just east of Jamaica.
