Port Vale have won a massive 19 games with Rovers only winning on occasions 9 draws have been played out. At Bristol Rovers 33 games have been played this time Rovers winning the overall margin with 19 games Vale taking 7 wins and 9 draws. So a total of 63 Matches have been played in all competitions Port Vale winning the most with 26 victories Rovers 7 behind with 19 wins and a total 19 draws threw the years. Just in case you're interested (which I expect your not) heres all the facts and stats from the games down the years. http://www.bristolrovers-mad.co.uk/head_to_head/next/vs/match/index.shtml Port Vale sit 2nd in the table 7pts behind League 2 leaders Gillingham having only lost three games all season some of there victories included an impressive 6-2 home victory to promotion favourites Rotherham and then three days later they smashed five past League 2 new boys Fleetwood Town in a 5-2 win on a Tuesday night in September. They've only failed to hit the net on four occasions so far and will remain tough opponents for the rest of the 2012/13 season. This other then Gillingham will be the Rovers' toughest opponents yet, so Gasheads how will this one go? Will we cause an upset and take all 3pts or will The Valiants give us a Rotherham style hidding. So post your score predictions, scorer/scorers and of course how many loyal fans will be traveling the journey to Stoke-On-Trent.
Again I'm sticking with my prediction sorry but I can only see a win for Port Vale a 3-0 defeat (if we're lucky) and I would say 398 Gasheads will head to Vale Park.

Possible Line Ups For The Game The Gas (4-4-2) Etheridge Smith Parkes Paterson L Brown Woodards Lund W Braown Riordan Eaves Anyinsah Port Vale (4-4-2) Neal Duffy McCombe McDonald Yates Myrie-Williams Burge Shuker Vincent Dodds Pope
TEAM NEWS Faltering Port Vale have Ashley Vincent available again after suspension as they bid to end their run of five league matches without a win. Skipper Doug Loft (calf) has a chance of being involved after missing Saturday's 2-2 home draw against York. Bristol Rovers are minus striker Eliot Richards and defender Gary Kenneth, both sent off at Rochdale on Saturday. David Clarkson, Joe Anyinsah and Tom Eaves all missed training on Monday, but Matt Lund returns from suspension.
according to mcghee yesterday who said on the radio that parkes missed training yesterday as well with injury.
VIEW FROM THE TRAINING GROUND Rovers boss Mark McGhee told BBC Radio Bristol: "We have a squad here we can be satisfied with. We have to get them out there, but we have a squad that compares with most squads in this league. "Port Vale are at home, they'll see our results and see us as an opportunity to get three more points. "They'll look at our team when it comes in and they'll see people missing and they'll be encouraged by that. "We can expect a really aggressive performance, getting at us, trying to score goals early on, so we can be prepared for an early onslaught."
i agree with him, if everyone in our squad is match fit then we have on paper a good squad who should be able to compete at the top end. been very unlucky with injuries where have our squad and playing budget has been in the treatment room. he expects and early onslaught from vale. hope is prepared for it as i can see 3-0 down in 1st 15 mins!
So far we have 6 votes for a Vale win, with only one idiot voting for a Gas win....me. If I'm right you can all kiss my ass.
deal only though if you agree (that if were right) you will have to go on the city board and confess your love for city sounds fair
