Although nobody can categorically prove or disprove whether human activity has influenced the world's temperature it's fairly obvious that we aren't helping it. As history has shown the planet does have ice ages which have not been caused by us - but if we could influence this pattern in some way shouldn't we being trying our best to do so? hint .. Mr Trump
Of course he loves the UK, he owns quite a lot of it. He'll probably want to turn large parts of it into golf courses in return for the trade deal.
Only his head?? City fans are nice really. Imagine what will happen to Zidane should Real not win La Liga and/or the CL? Maybe we should be asking for Trump's head. I cannot believe we are going to have this nonsense from his mouth for 4 years.
When is the Prime Minister going to follow the example of Margaret Thatcher. Who would have thought she would beat the miners after the failure of Ted Heath? What she needs to do is forget about Brexit and take on the Brexiteers in her own party and in the wider public. She would have the bulk of the nation behind her if she laid out all the positives for the UK remaining in the EU. One just has to see the tumbling £ to see the consequences of an exit. Time for TM to put the country first and Tory party second.
As the great Muhammad Ali would say to Trump!! "You are soooo very ugly. You are so ugly that you make ____________ ____________ (use any of Ali's prime opponents here) that you make him look soooo handsome."
If the UK fails to stay in some sort of EU market the pound will drop even further, all the years I paid into pension funds are becoming a laugh when I have to take out my dividends in Pounds. The chances of me actually coming back to watch the Saints are quickly diminishing. These are desperate times indeed.
The drop in the pound's value isn't just down to leaving the EU though. It's been coming for a while. Vince Cable said the pound was overvalued by 10-15% in 2014, Deutsche Bank said "sterling is the most expensive currency out there at the moment - even including the dollar" in Dec 2015 and the IMF said the pound was 18% overvalued in early June last year.
I know the feeling Angela. Is there a more stupid or ignorant face on the planet of the Earth than "President-elect?" His face tells you everything you need or want to know about him.
I think TM has lost her marbles if she prefers to have more access to the US than the EU. Hope all the commentators have got it wrong and she announces she is ditching Brexit in its entirety and getting on with the job of being a Prime Minister at long last.
The irony of all this talk of a trade deal with the US is that they are already one of the most, if not the most, protectionist economies on earth. Access to their markets has always been on their rather demanding terms; just ask Volkswagen about that.
Theresa May is giving a bit more detail on Brexit. : 'We cannot be members of the single market' EU citizens still 'welcome' in the UK Parliament will get vote on final Brexit deal Maintaining the common travel area between Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland is a priority during the Brexit negotiations UK will stop making 'vast contributions' to EU budget UK will 'control numbers' of EU migrants Wants UK to remain part of a customs agreement with the remaining 27 EU states, but said she has an "open mind" over whether this would be through associate membership of the Customs Union or through another arrangement. Pound is going up again. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politics-38641208
