    JD in the squad ,dont care how many goals he has netted total waste of time could have introduced another youngster even for the atmosphere .

    I think from the snippets I heard we were playing well. In which case you keep it going without shaking things up too much, it was a friendly after all.

    If we had been drowning or looking out of our depth then Defoe is a good option (well he is used to it... :). If we are drawing at the weekend he'll be one of the first off the bench in a game where the result matters and we're expecting to win.

    How did we lose that game ? that many chances squanded like last us Saturday then Podolski shows them how to do it. J D was saved for Sunday though.

    Defoes international composure missing with his clinical goalscoring but the youngsters need to experience the whole atmosphere at international level to get this - bit of a conundrum at times
