Forget the bookies and form guide for a minute - let's just look at the maths. Four teams in contention but just one will go up - so what are the odds against any single club making it? You'd think 3-1 against would be right, but......... The winner will only have to beat two of the others, as the other finalist will have already despatched the fourth. Does that make the mathematical odds just 2-1 against and not 3-1? Maybe a question for the s amongst us but it beats all this squabbling **** going on.
Northholt - you're like a stray dog that wont go away. I know all the big boys are still out playing but why are you here? What can you possibly be getting out of all this?...and now you're editing other people's comments to make yourself look clever For ****s sake son, have some self-respect.
What's happened to the posts of that pillock Northholt? I see he's a moderator on the QPR board so he's probably deleted his own puerile posts on here........
well that was easy! I just received this from Northolt: Northolt-QPR has just replied to a thread you have subscribed to entitled - Play Off Odds - in the Cardiff City forum of Not 606. Here is the message that has just been posted: *************** Don't call me son, you Welsh twat. *************** and now he's blocked me on his little moderator power trip. So it seems it is easy to get rid of stray dogs after all. hmm...I wonder if the board admin allow their moderators to be not only personally but racially abusive? Think I'll find out
Getting called cheating ****s by Cardiff, irony is ****ing dead. I deleted my comments cos I didn't want to descent to your level BTW. Internet warriors. ATIAFF
well done northolt you hav ruined this thread like many others on the cardiff theads you must be proud of yourself
Getting back to the question. If all the teams were of equal quality then each would have a 25% chance of getting promoted before a ball is kicked. So that is 3-1 against each.
Take your point Leonardo, but I can't see it that way. You only have to beat two of the other three sides - you never play the fourth because they get knocked out by the other finalist. Now if you start against those two sides at even money, then surely the cumulative odds just go up to 2-1?
